Summary: | The invention provides a separated carbohydrate binding domain PpCBM specifically binding to kappa-carrageenan. The amino acid sequence of the carbohydrate binding domain PpCBM is SEQ ID NO. 1. The structural domain PpCBM has no enzyme activity, but the specific enzyme activity of PpCgk can be remarkably improved through the combined action of the structural domain PpCBM and the kappa-carrageenan enzyme PpCgkCD, so that the structural domain PpCBM has higher substrate affinity and higher relative catalytic efficiency. The invention discloses a preparation method of the structural domain PpCBM and an application of the structural domain PpCBM in construction of engineering strains and degradation of kappa-carrageenan.
