The invention provides a loofah polypyrrole polymer composite material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: pretreating loofah; immersing the pretreated loofah sponge into a pyrrole monomer solution, then adding a morphology control agent, an oxidizing agent for polymerization and a complexing agent, heating to 50-500 DEG C, and meanwhile, carrying out irradiation treatment to obtain polypyrrole modified loofah sponge fibers; and fully mixing the polypyrrole modified loofah sponge fiber with a high-molecular polymer precursor, heating to 90-160 DEG C, and carrying out curing treatment to obtain the loofah sponge polypyrrole polymer composite material.
