Summary:The invention relates to a printing machine with an inkjet printing head, a radiation drier and at least one light trap, the inkjet printing head (2) including separately controllable nozzles (11) forapplying ink to a transported printing material (4); the radiation drier (7) including radiation sources (12) for generating electromagnetic radiation (13) to at least partly dry or cure the appliedink on the transported printing material (4); the at least one light trap (9) being disposed between the inkjet printing head and the radiation drier in such a way that the light trap forms a barrier(14) for reflected and/or scattered radiation, thus protecting the inkjet printing head from radiation. The light trap (9) includes at least one channel (17) connected to an aspiration device (24) foraspirating contaminated ambient air (18) through the channel.
