The invention relates to a method and a system for treating oilfield wastewater through electrocatalytic oxidation. The method comprises the following steps of: pretreating wastewater to be treated to remove impurities except the wastewater so as to obtain treated wastewater a; performing electrocatalytic oxidation treatment on the treated wastewater a to obtain treated wastewater b; performing flocculating settling on the treated wastewater b to obtain treated wastewater c; carrying out solid-liquid separation on the treated wastewater c to obtain treated wastewater d; and performing reverse osmosis and multi-effect evaporation on the treated wastewater d until the final treated liquid phase reaches the standard and can be repeatedly utilized, thereby finishing the treatment.
