A method implemented in a User Equipment, UE, for a cellular communication system includes transmitting a Random Access (RA) preamble and receiving a Random Access Response (RAR) from a base station (BS) containing a timing advance value, TA, indicative of a radio signal propagation delay between the UE and the BS and information indicative of an added time delay, TF, between reception of the RA preamble by the BS and transmission of the RAR by the BS. 本发明涉及一种在用于蜂窝通信系统的用户装备UE中实现的方法，该方法包括发射随机接入(RA)前导码和从基站(BS)接收随机接入响应(RAR)，该随机接入响应(RAR)包含：指示UE和BS之间的无线电信号传播延迟的定时提前值TA，以及，指示在由BS对RA前导码的接收与由BS对RAR的发射之间的增加的时间延迟TF的信息。
