Summary: | A first catalytic layer 11 is disposed in a gas flow passage 15 and is loaded with a first catalyst for reducing and removing nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas using ammonia as a reducing agent. A second catalytic layer 12 is disposed in the gas flow passage 15 on the upstream-side and/or the downstream-side of the first catalytic layer 11 and is loaded with a second catalyst for reducing and removing nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas using carbon monoxide as a reducing agent.
