Summary:A dual-band antenna (20) or coupled resonator associated with wireless device applications and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. Embodiments of the antenna (20) have a resonant frequency in the range of a lower 2-3GHz band and a higher 5-6GHz band. The antenna (20) has a high-frequency element (23) that can be configured to function as an inverted-F antenna. The high frequency element (23) is also positioned adjacent to the nearby parasitic element (22).
