Summary: | The invention belongs to the technical field of preparation of thermal insulation materials, and particularly relates to a method for preparing aluminum oxide foamed ceramic through adoption of a foaming method. The preparation method comprises the following steps: by taking ammonium chloride, urea, sugar, a sintering aid and aluminum oxide powder as raw materials, grinding and mixing, directly foaming in an inert atmosphere to obtain a porous carbon/aluminum oxide composite material, removing carbon from the obtained composite material to obtain an aluminum oxide foamed ceramic precursor, andsintering the obtained precursor at high temperature, so that the porous aluminum oxide foamed ceramic can be obtained. A simple and non-toxic process route is adopted, the production period is short, and the prepared aluminum oxide foamed ceramic has the characteristics of high porosity, low volume density and efficient heat insulation.
