The invention discloses application of a hydroxyl-containing compound in preparation of drugs. The invention provides application of a hydroxyl-containing compound represented by a formula I in preparation of drugs for resisting a glioma. The invention further provides application of the hydroxyl-containing compound represented by the formula I in preparation of cyclin D1 inhibitors and cyclin E inhibitors and in preparation of Jak protein phosphorylation inhibitors and Stat3 protein phosphorylation inhibitors.
