A data processing method, a handwriting pen, and a storage medium, applied to a writing system consisting of a handwriting pen and a writing board. The method comprises: when the handwriting pen is switched from a sleep state or an off state to a wakeup state, obtaining remaining ink information of the handwriting pen; obtaining a writing track in the process from start of writing on the writing board using the handwriting pen to end of the writing; and updating the remaining ink information according to the length of the writing track.
