The picking device comprises a picking head for picking the watermelons, the pickinghead comprises a shell, a poking structure, a retainer plate, a lifting assembly and a cutting assembly. The lower end of the shell is provided with a through hole facilitating entering of the watermelons; the poking structure is arranged at one end of the through hole and used for poking the watermelons into the through hole; the retainer plate is arranged in the through hole and is used for bearing the watermelons; a moving body of the lifting assembly is connected with one end of the retainer plate, and the lifting assembly is used for transferring the watermelons to a high position, arranged on the inner wall of the shell and opposite to the poking structure; and the cutting assembly is arranged on the inner wall of the shell and used for removing watermelon vines.
