Summary: | The present invention provides an oxide superconducting wire in which a superconducting layer is laminated on a substrate, wherein: the superconducting layer has an RE-Ba-Cu-O-based oxide superconductor and an artificial pin containing ABO3; RE represents a rare earth element, A represents Ba, Sr, or Ca, and B represents Hf, Zr, or Sn; the standard deviation sigma of the angle of inclination of the artificial pin with respect to the thickness direction of the superconducting layer is in the range of 6.13-11.73 degrees in a cross-sectional TEM image of the superconducting layer; and the averagelength of the artificial pin is in the range of 19.84-25.44 nm.
