The hydrophobic lithium battery positive electrode material is formed by combining a hydrophobic modifier on the surface of a conventional lithium battery positive electrode material, and the molecular structure of the hydrophobic modifier isR-Xn; R represents an alkyl group having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an aryl group and an alkoxy group; X is -Si-(R2)3OR1 or carboxyl, and R1 and R2 are methyl or ethyl; and n is 1, 2, 3 or 4. The positive electrode material does not easily absorb moisture in the processes of electrode preparation and electrode circulation, the control difficulty of the electrode process is reduced, and meanwhile, the moisture control of a pole piece and the improvement of electrolyte infiltration characteristics are facilitated.
