Summary:The invention discloses a method for preparing red microcrystalline glass from a ceramic pigment, and relates to the field of microcrystalline glass preparation. The method comprises the following steps: S1, putting 61-64% of SiO2, 15-18% of CaO, 6-8% of Al2O3, 1-3% of MgO, 2-6% of Na2O and 1-3% of K2O into a ball mill according to the designed mass fraction, and conducting stirring for 5-10min; S2, adding the uniformly mixed batch in the step S1 into a smelting furnace which is heated to 1400-1500 DEG C, and conducting smelting for 10-20 hours at 1400-1500 DEG C to obtain molten glass; S3, bycontrolling the height of a homogenizing barrel, enabling the molten glass to flow into a water tank below a trough through a material channel; and S4, taking out glass granules in the water tank, carrying out air drying to obtain white micro-grain materials, and carrying out ball milling on the granules for 2 hours to 3 hours. The method is simple in preparation process, convenient to operate, low in energy consumption,
