Summary: | The present invention relates to a two-step transmission for an electric vehicle, in which one electromagnetic actuator can suffice. The transmission comprises a planetary gear mechanism 12, an elastic body, 44, an armature 26 that rotates integrally with an input shaft, an electromagnetic coil 46, and a multiplate friction clutch 30. A ring gear 20 is secured to a housing. The armature 26 is provided with a clutch protrusion 26-1, which, together with a recess 18-2 of a sun gear 18 constitutes a dog clutch. The dog clutch is engaged by de-energizing of the electromagnetic coil 46, and the rotation of the input shaft is transmitted at reduced speed to an output shaft via the sun gear 18 and a carrier 16. The armature 26 shifts position against elastic force due to the energization of the electromagnetic coil 46, the dog clutch disengages, the multiplate friction clutch 30 comes to be engaged through a flange part 26-4 of the armature 26, and the rotation of the input shaft is transmitted at a one-to-one ratio |
