The invention relates to an oil-based trace element-rich foliar fertilizer and a preparation method thereof. The oil-based trace element-rich foliar fertilizer is composed of 14.7-41% of vegetable oil, 51-77.3% of medium trace element-containing nutrient substances, 5-15% of humic acid or humate, 0.5-5% of amino acid, 1-3% of a rheological agent, 0.5-3% of a dispersing agent, 0.5-2% of a thickening agent and 0.5-5% of an anti-settling agent. The oil-based trace element-rich foliar fertilizer is applied to crops through an oil spraying system. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, adding the medium trace element-containing nutrient substance particles into the vegetable oil, then sequentially adding the rheological agent, the dispersing agent, the thickening agent and the anti-settling agent, then adding the humic acid and the amino acid, and finally dispersing by adopting a three-roller mill to obtain the oil-based trace element-rich foliar fertilizer.
