The invention discloses an ultrasound-CT dual-mode contrast agent and a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation method of the ultrasound-CT dual-mode contrast agent comprises the following steps: (1) dissolving a CT developing component and a high-molecular polymer in water to form an aqueous phase solution; (2) adding an ultrasonic developing component into the aqueous phase solution, and uniformly stirring to form an oil-in-water primary emulsion; (3) adding a surfactant and an oil-phase solvent into the primary emulsion obtained in the step (2), continuously and uniformly stirring, adding a cross-linking agent, and curing to form an oil-in-water-in-oil complex emulsion; and (4) washing and centrifuging the complex emulsion obtained in the step (3), discarding a supernatant, collecting precipitate, and drying to obtain the ultrasound-CT dual-mode contrast agent. The contrast agent can enhance the developing function in ultrasonic imaging and CT imaging and improvethe image resolution of
