The injection device 1 of a die casting machine100 is configured to permit suction of a suction recess 120, which is partitioned by a tip 20 of a plunger 12, and a space 75 ahead of the front end of the tip 20. The inside of a sleeve 11 can be suctioned through penetrating portions 14, 15 that each penetrate the sleeve 11 from inside to outside at a prescribed first location C1 of the sleeve 11 in the advancing/retreating direction D1 of theplunger 12 and at a second location C2 set apart rearward from the first location C1.
