Summary: | A motor control circuit (300) of the present disclosure is provided with a processor (60), and a memory (80) storing a software program for controlling the operation of the processor. On the basis ofthe software program, the processor: acquires the value of a voltage applied to a plurality of windings (30) of a stator (10) and the value of a current flowing through the plurality of windings of the stator; determines, using the value of the current and the value of the voltage, an estimated value for the strength of a rotor magnetic flux [FAI]m formed by a rotor (20) in the plurality of windings; and detecting step-out when the estimated value for the strength of the rotor magnetic flux [FAI]m is outside a prescribed range.
