The invention relates to a bridge foundation protection method. The method comprises the following steps: exploring geology of a riverbed surface where a bridge foundation (1) is located, and dividingthe riverbed surface into a bedrock (3) type riverbed surface and a covering layer riverbed surface; carrying out drilling and grouting on the covering layer riverbed surface, and measuring technicalparameters of grouting holes (2) so as to select a proper grouting method; and arranging steel pipe piles, lead wire gabions and a horizontal water seepage blanket on the covering layer riverbed surface to comprehensively reinforce the riverbed surface, the covering layer and even the bedrock (3) so that a purpose of reinforcing the bridge foundation (1) is achieved, and the bridge foundation (1)is prevented from being damaged by a water flow, rolling stones and the like.
