The invention relates to a lithium ion battery with a wide temperature range. The lithium ion battery with the wide temperature range comprises a positive plate, a negative plate, an electrolyte and adiaphragm. A positive electrode active substance in the positive plate is high-nickel layered lithium metal oxide, and a negative electrode active substance in the negative plate is flake-structure graphite; the electrolyte comprises a chain ester solvent, lithium salt and an additive, wherein the additive comprises vinylene carbonate, fluoroethylene carbonate and a styrene-6-caprolactone-trimethylene carbonate copolymer.
