The invention provides a method for preparing biomass fuel by taking waste tobacco stalks and fir sawdust as raw materials. The method comprises the following steps: 1) selection of the raw materialsselecting waste tobacco stalks and fir sawdust, removing impurities, and respectively crushing the tobacco stalks and fir sawdust into powder less than or equal to 0.5 mm to obtain tobacco stalk powder and sawdust powder; 2) weighing the tobacco stem powder and the sawdust powder, mixing the tobacco stem powder and the sawdust powder according to a ratio, and drying the mixture in a hot air dryingfurnace until the water content is 8-13% to obtain a mixed dry material; and 3) feeding the mixed dry material into a stirring heater, and carrying out compression molding at 65-90 DEG C by using a molding equipment flat die machine to obtain a solid cylindrical finished product with the diameter of 0.8-1.0 cm.
