Summary: | The invention belongs to the technical field of thickened oil recovery, and particularly relates to a viscosity reducer for thickened oil and application thereof. The viscosity reducer for thickened oil is prepared from rhamnolipid and fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether. The viscosity reducer for thickened oil provided by the invention can tolerate oil reservoir produced water with a concentration sum of calcium and magnesium ions being less than or equal to 4000 mg/L, does not damage a stratum, and protects the environment. In addition, the viscosity reduction rate of the viscosity reducer to thickened oil with viscosity smaller than or equal to 75000 mPa.s is 98.5% or above. The viscosity reducer for thickened oil has a viscosity reduction rate of 95.1% or more for thickened oil havinga viscosity of greater than 75000 mPa.s and less than or equal to 120000.
