Summary:The invention relates to double-modified bentonite and a preparation method thereof. The double-modified bentonite comprises hydrophobic organic cations, a hydrophilic polymer and bentonite mother soil, the cation exchange capacity ratio of hydrophobic organic cations to bentonite mother soil is 0.5-1.0, and the mass of hydrophilic polymer accounts for 0.5%-15% of the mass of the bentonite mothersoil. An intercalation polymerization process is adopted, a hydrophobic organic cation solution is mixed with bentonite mother soil to prepare hydrophobic organic cation modified bentonite, then the hydrophobic organic cation modified bentonite is added into a hydrophilic polymer-distilled water mixture, and the double-modified bentonite is formed after drying and grinding.
