Summary: | The invention provides a cobalt-free positive electrode material of a lithium ion battery, a preparation method thereof and the lithium ion battery. The method for preparing the cobalt-free positive electrode material of the lithium ion battery comprises the following steps: mixing lithium nickel manganese oxide with sulfate which is strong acid and weak base salt to obtain a first mixture; and reacting the first mixture at a preset temperature so as to obtain the cobalt-free positive electrode material.
