The invention discloses a shear thickening liquid sports ankle protector. The sports ankle protector comprises a compression sleeve, an ankle protector, elastic binding bands and a winding band, wherein the ankle protector comprises a plastic layer attached to the outer side of the compression sleeve and an outer layer attached to the outer side of the plastic layer; the plastic layer comprises aplurality of closed hollow thin pipes internally contains shear thickening liquid; the ankle protector is divided into two protectors which are respectively fixed at two sides of the compression sleeve; the elastic binding bands comprise four elastic binding bands which are crossed and fixed at different upper ends or lower ends of the ankle protector, and comprise one elastic binding band with two ends fixed at different lower ends of the ankle protector; the winding band is positioned at the upper end of the compression sleeve; the compression sleeve comprises an L-shaped cylindrical sheath;and heel exposed holes ar
