Summary:The present invention discloses a hearing device, a hearing system and a corresponding method. The hearing device comprises a power source, a control unit, a power source charge state monitoring unit,a timing unit, an output unit, a receiver unit and an emitter unit. The power source charge state monitoring unit is configured to monitor the charge state of the power source by determining a current output voltage value of the power source. The timing unit is configured to measure a duration between two points in time. The output unit is configured to generate output sounds corresponding to electrical sound signals. The control unit is configured to activate a low-energy warning mode, if the current output voltage value determined by the power source charge state monitoring unit is below apredetermined threshold output voltage value of the power source.
