Summary:The invention aims to enlarge the capacity of the negative electrode of a secondary battery. A negative electrode which comprises a non-aqueous electrolyte solution and a negative electrode active substance, wherein the reductive decomposition potential of the non-aqueous electrolyte solution is not higher than the battery reaction potential of the negative electrode active substance, and the content of the negative electrode active substance in the negative electrode is 76 wt% or greater.
