The invention relates to a self-desilting separation device for exploiting shale gas. The device comprises a cylinder (8) with end sockets on the two ends. The two ends of the cylinder (8) are provided with a gas inlet (1) and a gas outlet (10) respectively, and a pre-separation element (2), a flow stabilizer (6) and a coalescer (9) are arranged on the inner wall between the gas inlet (1) and thegas outlet (10) of the cylinder (8). A demister (11) is arranged on the end, located in the cylinder (8), of the gas outlet (10), and a desilting chamber and a sewage chamber are formed in the side, opposite to the pre-separation element (2), of the inner wall of the cylinder (8).
