The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene slurry solid-liquidseparation system comprises a hexane settling tank, a drying machine, a washing tower and a condenser which are combined and connected through pipelines. The invention also relates to an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene slurry solid-liquid separation method. According to the solid-liquid separation system and the method provided by the invention, the hexane settling tank is used for carrying out solid-liquid separation on the polyethylene slurry, so that large-block materials are settled to the bottom of the hexane settling tank and are conveyed into the subsequent drying machine together with polyethylene wet cakes, and the phenomenon that a centrifugal machine is clamped by large-block materials and stops is avoided.
