The invention belongs to the field of furfuryl alcohol production, and discloses a catalyst for preparing furfuryl alcohol by furfural liquid phase hydrogenation, a preparation method and applicationthereof, and a method for preparing furfuryl alcohol by furfural liquid phase hydrogenation. The catalyst is prepared by the following steps: (1) in the presence of protective agent organic phosphine,carrying out contact reaction of an active palladium precursor, an active copper precursor and oleylamine; (2) mixing a reaction solution obtained in the step (1) with a first organic solvent, and then carrying out centrifugal separation to obtain a PdCu alloy; (3) mixing the PdCu alloy with a second organic solvent to obtain a solid-liquid mixture; and (4) contacting the solid-liquid mixture with an inorganic oxide carrier to load the PdCu alloy on the inorganic oxide carrier, filtering, and carrying out vacuum drying to prepare the catalyst for liquid phase hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol.
