The method comprises the following steps: by taking lignin as a raw material, addinga copper catalyst and a solvent, performing inert gas replacement, pressurizing to 0.1-2 MPa, then heating to 135-175 DEG C, reacting for 2-6 h while stirring to achieve catalytic degradation on thelignin to obtain a chemical product taking p-hydroxycinnamate as a main product; wherein the solvent is C1-C4 fatty alcohol; the copper catalyst is copper chloride, copper sulfate or copper bromide.
