Summary: | Based on the defects of high surface energy, easy agglomeration, difficult infiltration in an organic phase, poor dispersion stability and the like of nanoparticles, the invention provides a modification method for improving hydrophobicity and dispersion stability of nano TiO2. The method comprises the following steps: adding an aqueous solution of a modifier N-octyltrimethoxysilane or dodecyl trimethoxysilane into an ethanol solution of nano TiO2, stirring at 60-90 DEG C, carrying out ultrasonic oscillation, drying, and grinding to obtain modified nano TiO2. According to the invention, the surface energy of the modified nano TiO2 is obviously reduced, the hydrophobic property is achieved, and the dispersion stability is greatly improved; and the method is simple in process, easy to operate, low in cost, high in production efficiency and easy to realize industrial production.
