Summary:The present invention prevents noise that is generated during burst control of a resonant converter as a result of a burst cycle entering an audible-frequency cycle. A switching period of the burst cycle is constituted of three pulses: a start pulse (SP) for turning a low-side switching element (Q2) on, a main pulse (MP) for turning a high-side switching element (Q1) on, and an end pulse (EP) forturning the switching element (Q2) on. In a switching stop period, a burst stop period is set according to the weight of a load.
