A cylindrical battery is provided with: an electrode group; an electrolyte; a battery can housing the electrode group and the electrolyte; and a sealing body for sealing an opening of the battery can.The sealing body is provided with a valve body, a metal plate disposed farther towards the inside of the battery than the valve body, and an annular insulating member interposed between the valve body and the metal plate.
