The invention provides a diesel engine control system, a control method and a controller. The system comprises a diesel engine, an asynchronous motor, a rectifier, a charging device and a controller,wherein the diesel engine is connected with the asynchronous motor and the controller respectively; the rectifier is connected with the asynchronous motor, the charging device and the controller; andthe controller is used for controlling on and off of the charging device according to the current rotating speed of the diesel engine. When the current rotating speed is lower than a first preset rotating speed, the charging device is controlled to charge a support capacitor of the rectifier; and when the voltage value of the support capacitor meets a preset condition, the rectifier is controlledto provide three-phase alternating current for the asynchronous motor, so that the asynchronous motor works under the working condition of a motor to drive the diesel engine to work. The diesel enginecontrol system adopts the a
