The invention can simply evaluate the insulation life feature. An insulation life testing method comprises following steps: a preparation step (S02), preparing an insulation test body, and establishing a testing device, wherein the insulation test body has a laminated body, applying side electrodes, and grounding side electrodes, the front ends of the applying side electrodes and the grounding side electrodes are inserted into the laminated body at intervals, and the laminated body is formed by stacking main insulation layers made of an inorganic material and polymer compound layers made of anorganic material; and a voltage applying step (S03), applying a voltage on the laminated body along the direction of main insulation layers. Moreover, in the step (S02), the laminated body is used, the interior of the laminated body can be observed; and the method also comprises an observation step, after the voltage applying step, the development situation of electrical trees in the insulation test body can be observed.
