The system comprises a client, a firmware upgrading server and smart home equipment; the smart home device communicates with the client and the firmware upgrading server through the WIFI module, and the WIFI module of the smart home device can download and cache a plurality of firmware versions of the MCU of the smart home device from the firmware upgrading server; when the MCU of the smart home equipment needs to be subjected to version change, the version change comprises version upgrade and version rollback, the client sends a version number to be changed to the WIFI module of the smart home device, and the WIFI module of the smart home device sends a corresponding firmware version to the MCU of the smart home device according to the received version number.
