Summary: | The invention relates to a method and device for producing argon by cryogenic distillation of air. The device for comprises an argon separation column (K), means for sending a gas containing argon andoxygen (ORG) to the argon separation column, means for extracting a fluid (ARG) enriched in argon at the top of the argon separation column, means for extracting a liquid (ORL) enriched in oxygen atthe bottom of the argon separation column and at least two storage tanks (S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6), positioned one above the other, each storage tank being connected to two different intermediate levels ofthe argon separation column by two pipes, the two storage tanks being contiguous.
