The invention discloses a wedge-shaped borehole blocking device and a using method, and relates to the technical field of blasting construction. The wedge-shaped borehole blocking device comprises a base, a wedge-shaped block and a water-swelling seal ring. The base is cylindrical. A wedge-shaped through hole matched with the wedge-shaped block in structure is formed in the middle of the base in the axial direction of the base. The wedge-shaped block is mounted in the wedge-shaped through hole and comprises a big end and a small end. The big end is located on the side where an explosive is placed. The water-swelling seal ring is arranged outside the base in a sleeving mode. The base is of a split-type structure and comprises two symmetrically-arranged semi-cylindrical blocks.
