Summary: | The invention provides a method for recovering tantalum and niobium from tantalum-niobium alloy, and relates to the field of tantalum-niobium recovery. The method comprises the following steps: S1) providing tantalum-niobium alloy powder as a raw material, and then performing chlorination sintering treatment on the tantalum-niobium alloy powder to obtain a chloride containing tantalum and niobium;S2) placing the chloride in alkali liquor for hydrolysis treatment to obtain a hydroxide containing tantalum and niobium; and S3) carrying out gravity separation to complete tantalum and niobium recovery. The method is capable of solving technical problems in the prior art that in an existing tantalum and niobium recycling method, HF acid is used for hydrolysis, HF is prone to volatilizing and generating hydrogen, and consequently the production environment is seriously threatened, and the purpose of improving the safety of the production environment is achieved.
