The invention discloses an automobile fuel tank insert installation mechanism which comprises an insert, a driving cylinder, a lever, a pull rod, a gripper mechanism used for grasping the insert, a fulcrum seat and a fixed seat. An annular bulge protruding from the outer circumference of the insert is arranged at the lower end of the insert. The end part of the right end of the lever is hinged onthe fulcrum seat, and a piston rod of the driving cylinder is hinged with the left end of the lever. The upper end of the driving cylinder is hinged with the fixed seat. The lower end of the pull rodis hinged with the lever, and the upper end of the pull rod is connected with the gripper mechanism. The pull rod is positioned between the driving cylinder and the fulcrum seat, and the driving cylinder and the pull rod are positioned above the lever.
