Summary: | The invention relates to a method for preparing bis (3-ethyl-5-methyl-4-maleimidobenzene) methane catalyzed by a supported catalyst. The method uses 4,4'- methylene bis (6-methyl- 2 -ethyl aniline) and maleic anhydride as raw materials, and uses a self-made supported catalyst to catalyze dehydration and cyclization to prepare the bis (3-ethyl-5-methyl-4-maleimidobenzene) methane. The catalyst hasgood effect, low reaction temperature, high yield, high product purity, good quality and low cost. The catalyst and a reaction solvent can be directly recycled, thus reducing pollutant emission, beingenvironment-friendly and low in cost. The catalyst and the reaction solution are applied several times, the total yield is 84.5-93.6%, and the bis (3-ethyl-5-methyl-4-maleimidobenzene) methane has acontent of over 99.0% (HPLC).
