The invention discloses a preparation method of dimethyl 3-aminophthalate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing polyaniline and heteropolyacid, adding the mixture into dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid and deionized water, stirring the mixture under the protection of nitrogen, slowly dropwise adding an ammonium persulfate solution, performing a reaction, carrying out demulsification, suction filtration, washing and drying to obtain a polyaniline-loaded heteropolyacid catalyst; (2) with 3-nitrophthalic acid as a raw material, adding methanol, then adding the polyaniline-loaded heteropolyacid catalyst, carrying out heat preservation reaction for 5-8 hours, and purifying the reaction product to obtain dimethyl 3-nitrophthalate; and (3) treating the dimethyl 3-nitrophthalate into powder, dissolving the powder in a solvent methanol, and carrying out catalytic hydrogenation, filtration and purification to obtain the dimethyl 3-aminophthalate.
