A device for measuring biological information includes at least one light emitting element configured to emit light having predetermined wavelength, a light receiving element configured to receive returned light from a subject with respect to the emitted light, an attachment determination unit configured to determine whether the device is attached to the subject with respect to the light receivingelement based on an amount of returned light received, and a measurement-point determination unit configured to determine whether or not a point where the device is attached to the subject is suitable for measuring the biological information based on the amount of returned light received, when the attachment determination unit determines that the device is attached to the subject. 提供能够判定是否被装戴在适于生物体信息测定的部位，由此能够进行在最佳的位置处的测定，能够确保一定的测定精度的生物体信息测定装置。具备：发光元件，发光出规定波长的测定光；受光元件，接受测定光经由被检体后的返回光；装戴判定部，基于受光元件中的返回光的受光光量，判定对被检体的装戴状态；以及测定部位判定部，在装戴判定部判定为被正确地装戴于被检体时，基于返回光的受光光量，判定测定部位的好坏。
