A motion chair is described. The motion chair comprises a base; an underframe attached to the base; a chair frame; a seat; and a backrest. The seat is pivotably attached to the chair frame. The backrest is pivotably connected to the chair frame. A first swing arm is provided with a top end (A) and a bottom end (A). The top end (A) is pivotably connected to the underframe at a first fixed pivot joint, and the bottom end (A) is pivotably connected to the chair frame at a first floating pivot joint.
