The high-aluminum glass clarificant comprises 3-25 wt% of sodium nitrate, 15-30 wt% of tin oxide and 50-80 wt% of molybdenum tungsten tailings, wherein the sodium nitrate is industrial grade sodium nitrate having a weight content of 99.50% or more. A preparation method of the high-aluminum glass clarificant comprises the following steps:grinding dried molybdenum tungsten tailings to a particle size of 0.10 mm, and then uniformly mixing the ground dried molybdenum tungsten tailings with sodium nitrate and tin oxide according to aboveweight percentages to prepare the mixed clarificant.
