Summary:The invention discloses a hosiery machine knitting needle combined detection device and method based on laser and machine vision. The device comprises a laser emitter, a convex lens and a photoelectric detector which are respectively arranged on the side surface of a needle cylinder of a hosiery machine. Light rays irradiated on a knitting needle by the laser emitter are reflected and then pass through the convex lens to be converged on the target surface of the photoelectric detector; and the photoelectric detector is also connected with a data acquisition card, a computer, a singlechip and arelay in sequence. The relay is further connected with a loom motor. The device further comprises a CCD camera and a light supplement lamp which are arranged on one side of a needle cylinder of a loom.
