Summary: | The invention provides a metal-clad laminate which improves peeling strength between a metal layer which comprises a nickel element and a polyimide layer, and a method for producing samel. The metal-clad laminate comprises the components of the metal layer which comprises the nickel element, and an insulating resin layer which comprises one or multiple polyimide layers that are laminated on the metal layer. Furthermore the metal layer measures a surface which contacts the insulating resin layer through X-ray photoelectric spectrophotometry; the peak value of nickel oxide is observed, and the peak value of nickel is not observed.
