The invention provides a tension string applicable to adjusting the wire length, which comprises a tension wire clamp, a drainage plate, a drainage wire clamp, a connecting device, a horizontal adjusting device, a jumper down lead clamp and a voltage equalizing ring, wherein the connecting device is used for mounting a wire to the tension wire clamp or a tower; the horizontal adjusting device includes a plurality of T-shaped connecting pieces and fixed connection assemblies used for connecting the T-shaped connecting pieces in series; and the jumper down lead clamp includes a down lead assembly and a jumper fixing assembly. The tension string applicable to adjusting the wire length can adjust the horizontal distance of a wire by using the horizontal adjusting device connected with the tension wire clamp through the connecting device, is large in adjustment range, low in accuracy requirement of wire length measurement and solves a problem that the adjustment distance does not meet jumper distance requirements
